The Office of the Global Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) supports Collective Strategy v3.0 by being the most trusted source of financial, HR and operational information and insight that enables the growth and health of our business across KPMG. The Office of the Global CAO includes the Global Finance, KPMGI People & Culture and Global Procurement teams and our areas of focus are:
- Driving strategic Business Planning with KPMG Firms
- Monitoring and reporting the financial performance of KPMG International and the financial compliance of KPMG Firms
- Sourcing and negotiating third party contracts supporting KPMG International and KPMG firms
- Driving Talent and Engagement programs and policies for the KPMG International workforce
About this Team
The Global Reporting and Analysis team is accountable for collecting and analyzing KPMG\'s key data and metrics across the network of member firms. The team is fully dedicated to providing value added management information and insight to help global leadership progress KPMG\'s strategic plans and priorities. Revenue reporting (by function, region, sector and client) is a particular focus, but the data collected and analyzed covers a wider range of profitability and people metrics. The function also coordinates KPMG\'s external reporting, including press statements, ESG reporting, and client proposal support.
Role summary
This role is responsible for developing and deploying business intelligence solutions within the organisation. The primary tasks include designing, implementing, and maintaining data models using SAP Datasphere as well as transforming data into visualised information with SAP Analytics Cloud. The role ensures data accuracy, troubleshoots and resolves data integration issues, optimizes performance, and enforces data governance standards. This role demands strong analytical skills, technical expertise in SAP BI tools, and effective communication abilities. The role works closely with various departments to understand and fulfil their reporting needs. In parallel to the development and maintenance of the reporting tools, the role is also responsible for the analysis of data and the reporting of conclusions to stakeholders across KPMG\'s functions, regions, sectors and strategic investments.
Key Accountabilities
- Specify, build and optimize data models and integration processes
- Optimized Data Models: Develop scalable and efficient data models that meet business requirements and enhance operational performance.
- Integration Processes: Implement robust integration processes capable of handling large datasets, ensuring data consistency and reliability across systems.
- Documentation: Provide comprehensive documentation for data models and integration processes, including technical specifications and user guidelines.
- Creating dashboards, reports and analyses
- Interactive Dashboards: Design and deploy user-friendly dashboards that provide real-time insights to support decision-making.
- Comprehensive Reports: Generate detailed reports with visualizations that address key business questions and performance indicators.
- Analytical Insights: Conduct analyses that uncover trends and patterns, providing
- Identify and resolve issues, optimize system performance
- Issue Resolution: Develop a systematic approach for identifying and resolving technical glitches and performance bottlenecks.
- Performance Optimization: Implement strategies to enhance system performance, including tuning configurations and resource management.
- Monitoring and Reporting: Create monitoring frameworks that continuously assess system health and report performance metrics.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and ensure governance and best practice
- Requirements Documentation: Engage stakeholders to collect reporting requirements, document needs, and align with strategic business goals.
- Governance Framework: Establish governance processes to ensure data integrity, compliance, and quality throughout the reporting lifecycle.
- Best Practices: Advocate for best practices in analytics and reporting, fostering innovation and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Strong experience in SAP BI or data analytics roles
- Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or related field
- Certifications in SAP Datasphere, SAC or SAP BI/BW preferred
- Fluent in English (written and spoken)
- Strong knowledge of SAP Analytics Cloud: story building, data models, user access
- SQL modelling, SAP HANA modelling and Power BI preferable
- Data quality validation and performance tuning
- Business analysis & consulting ability. Experience at writing business & user requirements
- Data analysis skills - financial and non-financial
- Advanced skills in PowerPoint, Word and Excel
- Financial analysis and the ability to present conclusions to senior stakeholders
- Proven experience at developing BI tools in a complex international or diverse multi-functional environment
- Adept at managing KPIs and other metrics, with strong business acumen and the data needs to support them.
- Comfortable with data and process complexity and finding a new path or solution coupled
- Experience of transformational change within organizations or teams arising from the introduction of new technologies or processes.
- A track record of development of and implementing forward-thinking approaches and initiatives with strong influencing skills, an ability to articulate clear, compelling ideas and to persuade others to take action
- Proven experience as a "self-starter" - ability to work independently on a daily basis with minimum supervision with an ability to use own initiative to identify practical solutions to resolve issues that arise
- Ability to direct offshore resource to complete underlying data collection and modelling. This will require coordination and scheduling, so strong organizational skills are important.
