Skematic, a business unit of Financial Recovery Technologies, is a rapidly expanding startup providing a comprehensive Compliance workflow management solution in the RegTech space. Primarily serving hedge funds, private equity, and venture capital firms since 2021, Skematic offers a solution that drives efficiencies for compliance teams navigating the ever‑changing complexities of regulation in capital markets. We are seeking a Business Development Representative in the UK to drive Skematic’s regional sales efforts and grow our market share in EMEA in the compliance space.

Responsibilities
  • Drive revenue growth by generating leads and securing meetings so our sales executives can focus on closing deals.
  • Make a high volume of cold calls each day to prospects.
  • Grow Skematic’s market share by seeking out opportunities and converting prospects into qualified leads.
  • Set appointments for AEs & CRO and track metrics and performance against set targets.
  • Work internally with the sales management and marketing teams to ensure proper quality and quantity of all communications with prospects.
  • Maintain a high level of competence using sales sequencing and CRM tools.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a high‑volume outbound sales role (preferred).
  • Experience working in Financial Services, RegTech, Compliance, or FinTech and selling to those clientele (preferred).
  • A desire to make money for Skematic and yourself.
  • A track record of high achievement and the desire to meet and exceed measurable performance goals.
  • Self‑starter mentality with an ability to deal with and thrive on objections and rejection daily.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Professionalism, positive demeanor, and the ability to work in a fast‑paced, challenging environment with peers who challenge you to be better.
  • Self‑directed and detail‑oriented work ethic with strong analytical problem‑solving and creative thinking skills.

Compensation

Base salary is experience‑dependent and can range from £48,000 – £58,000 per year, plus commission.

Location

This position is based in Greater London. Candidates should have the ability to commute to the Marylebone office 3x a week.
