Purpose of the role

Assist the Accountant / Accounts Payable Team Leader in the centralised Accounts Payable function and ad-hoc projects. Ensure the accurate and efficient processing of invoices and credits. Build and maintain strong working relationships with both internal teams and external suppliers.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and issue accurate invoices for freight services provided ensuring all details are correct and in line with service agreements.
• Review and process incoming invoices and credit notes from suppliers verifying accuracy ensuring compliance with company policies and resolving any discrepancies.
• Respond to and resolve any inquiries or disputes related to customer and supplier invoices ensuring timely and effective communication to maintain strong relationships.
• Efficiently manage incoming mail sorting and distributing it to the appropriate teams or departments in a timely manner.
• Effectively manage and prioritise tasks ensuring all invoicing processing and queries are handled within required timeframes to meet business deadlines
• Answer and redirect incoming phone calls ensuring prompt and professional responses and providing assistance or transferring to the relevant departments when necessary.
