Trial Balance Consulting have been reengaged by a long standing client, a fast growing firm of Chartered Accountants and Business Advisors that seek to recruit an experienced Payroll Supervisor to join their outsourced payroll bureau. The role is offered on a full time, permanent basis and will be based at the company’s offices in Exmouth.

Working as part of a small but long standing team, the successful candidate will assume a lead positioning in reviewing the work of payroll staff and in many cases, liaising with clients on queries and changes to their payroll information. Key responsibilities to include:

- Working closely with the head of department, coaching and mentoring junior members of staff

- Operating in a supervisory capacity to ensure the efficient running of multiple client payrolls (weekly and monthly)

- Acting as a key point of contact to clients and responding to their queries

- Provide sound advice in all aspects of the payroll lifecycle to include HMRC reporting, RTI, holiday accrual, sickness and absence, NI etc.

For this role we seek an experienced Payroller, either operating at supervisory level or ready to step-up. The successful candidate may come from an in-house industry environment or be joining from another practice, but should possess at least two years of recently gained and broad payroll experience. The firm promotes both Sage Payroll and Xero Payroll so a working knowledge of one (or both!), would be highly advantageous. The role works as part of a friendly and long standing team that are well supported by the firm’s Partners and senior managers.
