Job description
Overview

The Bulls Head is a traditional pub located on Kings Norton\'s The Green, sharing the area with private shops, cafes, estate agents, a Co-op, a local church and a large, managed car park. The Green hosts a monthly farmers market and attracts a wide range of visitors due to nearby shops and businesses, a local school and a church. The pub has two main rooms (a bar with pool table and sports viewing, and a lounge/dining area), a contained courtyard with external TV, and a large upstairs function room with a self-contained bar used for private parties and events. There is a well-equipped kitchen on the first floor (with hoist) suitable for pub menus and function buffets.

The Green in Kings Norton brings consistent footfall to the pub, offering opportunities for sales through foot traffic and community activity. The Bulls Head attracts regular drinkers and shoppers during weekdays, and a mix of weekend shoppers, families and entertainment-seekers in the evenings. The opportunity exists for an operator to drive weekly activity and optimise the pub\'s performance, including private events in the function room.

Currently the pub is achieving weekly sales of 15,500. An operator with food experience is needed to deliver a consistent food offer throughout the week to attract visitors.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver a consistent food offer across the week to attract visitors.
  • Drive weekly activity such as quizzes, discos and karaoke to increase footfall and sales.
  • Utilise the function room for local events and private parties to drive additional revenue.
  • Manage day-to-day operations in a traditional pub setting with the kitchen on the first floor and access to a self-contained bar for events.
What’s in it for you?
  • 20% share of weekly wet sales, excluding VAT.
  • Keep 100% of the food sales.
  • Low ingoing costs, starting with a 5,000 deposit and 360 legal costs (deposits can vary depending on the business — ask for details).
  • Accommodation included with most bills covered, excluding council tax and TV license.
