You’ll be part of a highly skilled team spanning building surveying, architectural design, project management, and health & safety, collaborating on projects across education, commercial, retail, and residential sectors. The Role

As a Building Surveyor, you’ll play a pivotal role in assessing, protecting, and enhancing the built environment. Your work will take you from detailed building pathology to hands‑on project delivery, giving you full‑cycle involvement and meaningful professional autonomy.

You Will:
  • Conduct thorough condition surveys and provide expert advice on maintenance, refurbishment, and lifecycle planning
  • Produce detailed specifications, schedules of work, and technical drawings for refurbishment and capital projects
  • Lead contract administration: drafting documentation, overseeing project delivery, and ensuring compliance
  • Manage and coordinate capital programmes across multiple sites and stakeholders
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients — shaping strategy, guiding decisions, and building long‑term relationships
  • Apply strategic problem‑solving to improve service delivery and project outcomes
  • Collaborate with architects and H&S specialists to deliver integrated, multi‑disciplinary solutions
  • Maintain accurate records, ensuring projects are well‑documented and professionally delivered
What You Bring
  • Minimum 5 years’ consultancy‑based building surveying experience
  • BSc in Building Surveying (or equivalent / qualified by experience)
  • Strong knowledge of commercial property, maintenance strategies, and building pathology
  • Experience in the education sector (highly desirable)
  • Competence in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
  • Excellent organisational and project coordination skills
  • A proactive mindset, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to high professional standards
