Overview

As a Senior Building Surveyor, you'll be central to some of the UK's most significant projects. Your portfolio will vary across retail, health, energy, commercial property, education, and public sectors. Working alongside our senior managers, you'll lead multidisciplinary teams driven by excellence. We'll value your insight and leadership, supporting your continued growth and career development. Your purpose:

Responsibilities
  • Working across several projects in different sectors, providing a range of refurbishment, improvement and modernisation projects using JCT and NEC contract forms.
  • Undertaking feasibility studies, producing designs and specifications, obtaining estimates, obtaining statutory approvals and administering contracts.
  • Knowledge and application of building surveying professional services.
  • Development of new business opportunities including preparation and submission of bids.
  • Maintain service quality standards and a culture of continuous improvement and constructive expertise.
  • Line managing of junior staff within the Building Surveying team.
  • Providing guidance, leadership and expertise to team members on day-to-day technical matters and supporting during the APC process.
  • A BSc (Hons) in Building Surveying or a similar RICS accredited degree.
  • MRICS status highly desirable.
  • Sound technical surveying knowledge and significant building surveying experience.
  • Experience managing clients with a strong understanding of profitability, business development and sound commercial awareness.
  • Experience managing workloads and projects.
  • Experience in mentoring, training and coaching team members.
  • Hold a driving license/have a level of mobility.

  • A BSc (Hons) in Building Surveying or a similar RICS accredited degree.
