Overview

A great opportunity for a Building Surveyor (or soon to be RICS) to join a forward-thinking consultancy offering the full range of Building Surveying services to clients in London. You will be based in the London office and will support and manage client projects to drive the growth of the company. The role will involve a mix of project and professional work including contract administration, pre-acquisition surveys and dilapidation work, party wall consultancy, and fire reinstatement valuations in the retail, education, commercial and residential sectors.

Responsibilities
  • Support and manage client projects to drive company growth.
  • Contract administration and project delivery on commercial surveys up to £400k value.
  • Pre-acquisition surveys and dilapidations work, party wall consultancy, and fire reinstatement valuations.
  • Develop client briefs and produce carefully prepared, accurate reports with good report writing skills.
  • Present information confidently in both written and verbal formats; maintain strong numeracy skills.
  • Operate with an awareness of administrative and project cost management, understanding commercially focused delivery and efficient use of resources.
  • Prioritise conflicting workloads, manage own time, and work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Present a professional client-facing image, demonstrate negotiation skills, and support the development of the Building Surveying team.
  • Demonstrate ambition and commitment to self and business development.
  • Be computer literate (Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Project).
  • Willingness to travel as project commissions require and hold a full driving licence.
Candidate Profile / Qualifications
  • Experience delivering commercial surveys up to £500k value and contract administration for commercial projects up to £400k value.
  • Ability to produce accurate work with strong report writing and presentation skills.
  • Operational awareness of administrative and project cost management.
  • Experience with JCT Contract Administration (Minor and IF) and dilapidations / Landlord and Tenant work.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD; design experience is advantageous.
