Overview

A client within the Public Sector based in Leicestershire is recruiting for 2 x Class 2 Building Inspectors and 1 x Class 3 Building Inspector to join their Building Control team as soon as possible. The client is offering a full time, temporary position on an ongoing basis with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a local authority within a Building Control environment.

Role

Key purpose of the role is to provide professional building control services, ensuring compliance with building regulations, fire safety legislation and wider statutory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assessing building regulation applications, site inspections and enforcement.
• Providing specialist advice on building construction and fire safety compliance.
• Responding to emergency reports about dangerous structures on a rota basis.
• Ensuring projects comply with statutory legislation and local service plans.
• Working collaboratively within the team to meet deadlines and service objectives.

The Candidate / Qualifications

Required:

• Registration with the Building Safety Regulator (Class 2 or Class 3).
• Post qualification experience (between 2 and 6 years depending on qualification).
• Comprehensive knowledge of building construction and Building Regulations.

Beneficial:

Compensation

The client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such are offering £100 per hour Umbrella LTD Inside IR35 (approx. £80 per hour PAYE).
