Are you a skilled bricklayer ready to build the foundations of success for others? The Manchester College is seeking a dedicated Brickwork teacher to pass on your craft to the next generation of construction professionals. Be part of a supportive, skills-focused team and make a lasting impact through hands-on teaching and real-world experience. We have an exciting opportunity to join our Automotive, Construction, Engineering and Logistics Department as a Brickwork Teacher on a permanent, full-time (35 hours per week) basis. The role is based at both our Openshaw and Wythenshawe Campuses.

Role and Responsibilities

We welcome applications from aspiring teachers who are passionate about sharing industry skills. At The Manchester College, you will be supported by our Teaching Academy to work towards qualified teacher status for post-16 compulsory education, through a Cert Ed/PGCE. This includes 3-4 hours delivery per week and engagement with a mentor to support your progress in the profession while you work. The starting salary for an unqualified teacher is between £28,300.00 - £30,307.50*. It’s a great way to kick-start a rewarding career with full training and support. Once you've successfully qualified and demonstrated your teaching competence, you'll progress to the qualified teacher salary banding.

*Consideration will be given to relevant industry experience and skills with flexibility to offer increased starting salaries in some circumstances*.
