Job Description

Ibis London Barking is looking for an enthusiastic person to join our team at the hotel. This position is for a Breakfast Chef who the will work in our fabulous team, incorporating both Front Office and Food and Beverage duties in line with the business demands with great possibilities for growth within the company.

Ibis London Barking is home to 86 inviting guest bedrooms (complete with en suite power showers, 43' flat screen TV's and tea & coffee facilities), our affordable London hotel puts on a very good value hot & cold breakfast spread each morning, setting you up for even the busiest of days.

OVERVIEW OF DUTIES / MISSION
  • Prepare and cook a high‑quality Full English breakfast for hotel guests, ensuring consistency and presentation standards are met.
  • Set up and maintain the breakfast buffet, ensuring food is replenished promptly and kept at safe serving temperatures.
  • Ensure the kitchen and buffet area are kept clean, tidy, and compliant with food safety and hygiene standards at all times.
  • Monitor food stock levels and communicate with management regarding any shortages or ordering requirements.
  • Work efficiently to serve guests during peak breakfast hours, maintaining a welcoming and professional attitude.
  • Assist with the clearing down of the breakfast service and preparation for the following day, including basic mise en place.
  • Cooperate with other kitchen and front‑of‑house staff to ensure a smooth and enjoyable breakfast experience for guests.
  • Adhere to all health & safety, food hygiene, and allergen control protocols.
