A professional estate management company located near Aylesbury is seeking a highly organised bookkeeper/administrator. This role focuses on bookkeeping for two entities and administrative control of insurance matters. Overview

Are you a highly organised bookkeeper/administrator able to communicate and take instruction from multiple sources? Our lovely, friendly client is offering very flexible working conditions and could be just what you’re looking for. Our client is a private estate, located near Aylesbury. Based in a professional office team of lawyers, accountants and investment specialists, this role will primarily focus on the activities of this large mixed estate including arable and livestock farming and owning various properties.

The Role

This is a busy, challenging role, requiring a highly organised candidate who is able to absorb a high level of information from different sources. The candidate must be a team player, ready to help others, develop positive relationships and able to contribute to the highly professional services provided by the office team.

Responsibilities
  • Bookkeeping for two main entities including all processing of purchase and sales invoices, bank reconciliations, credit control, recharges.
  • Dealing with invoice/supplier queries and arranging payment runs. Maintaining accurate records.
  • Assisting accountants with other tasks as required.
  • Providing administrative control of insurance for multiple entities, including instruction of renewals, reviewing policies, liaison with insurance providers and being main contact for insurance queries from claims to payments.
  • Monitor electricity, gas and other utility renewals, liaise with broker, complete all renewal instructions and ensure accurate recording and communication of information.
Qualifications
  • Qualification in bookkeeping is preferred
  • At least 2 years of experience in bookkeeping
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Excel, strong numerical abilities and excellent communication skills are essential
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively
  • Experience of farming and/or property management would be an advantage
The Terms
  • Start date 1st November 2025 (ideally)
  • Minimum 30 hours per week (spread over 4/5 days)
  • FTC 12 month maternity cover contract
  • Some hybrid working may be possible after initial training
  • Salary: £30k - £32k full time equivalent*
