Overview

Based in Cambridge with ties to university research, this start-up has secured funding to enable its technology development. As they are in stealth mode, specific details would be shared under NDA with the company.

Responsibilities
  • Join as a Biophysicist, an ambitious, hands-on technologist who would enjoy working in the lab on highly applied science.
  • Conduct proof-of-concept experiments for cutting-edge research, prototyping, biophysical assays and documentation.
Qualifications
  • PhD, MPhil or MRes graduate in biophysics or similar, with demonstrable project experience in biophysics research within an applied field.
  • Strong technical lab skills and excellent scientific problem solving.
  • Project experience should include work with proteins or nucleic acids (ideally within the same project).
  • Experience with electrophysiology, single molecule measurements, microfluidics or electrochemical measurements.
  • Any experience with Python scripting for automation or Arduino is desirable.
  • Good organisational skills including documentation.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a small, dedicated team of multidisciplinary scientists.
