Job Description

This remote BigCommerce Developer role, operating from the U.S., plays a pivotal part in building reliable, high-performance solutions that improve e-commerce capabilities. The Developer will take charge of initiatives to boost online quote generation and foster customer interactions leading to in-store services. Reporting directly to the Sr. Director of IT, this position does not entail the management of direct reports.

Key Responsibilities
  • Enhance and optimize the BigCommerce storefront to facilitate lead generation and streamline the process for quote requests.
  • Create and manage custom product displays, location-specific quote forms, and user journeys designed to maximize conversion rates.
  • Utilize the Stencil framework alongside BigCommerce APIs and custom JavaScript to develop responsive, mobile-first user experiences.
  • Integrate third-party platforms such as CRM solutions, email marketing tools, and scheduling applications to streamline operations.
  • Partner with marketing and UX/design teams to roll out features that increase foot traffic to physical storefronts.
  • Optimize website performance and accessibility, enhancing SEO to improve local search visibility.
  • Maintain clean, scalable, and maintainable code across both the front-end and back-end systems.
Requirements
  • Strong collaboration skills, enabling effective communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Insight into SEO best practices, particularly relevant for businesses focused on local search visibility.
  • Ability to excel in a remote, self-directed work environment with strong communication and commitment to follow-through.
  • Preferred experience in headless BigCommerce implementations.
