Trading Post Coffee Roasters is an artisan coffee roasting and hospitality business that, since opening in 2017, has expanded to serve freshly roasted coffee, brunch, and cocktails across Brighton and Sussex.

We are looking for a skilled Barista with top attention to detail, efficiency and cleanliness along with a genuine passion for all things coffee. You will have some experience in a high-volume, quality coffee environment, serving specialty espresso and pouring expertly steamed milk. You will also be comfortable working with our top‑of‑the‑range machines and grinders and develop a strong understanding of at‑home brewing methods to be able to advise your customers.

Our brilliant Baristas demonstrate a ‘we’re all in this together’ attitude, confidence in a customer‑focused environment and know what it takes to deliver top‑quality coffee and great hospitality at all times.

What You Can Expect Your Responsibilities To Be

• Dialling in grinders for all blends and single origins to the brand standard
• Open and close down the coffee section independently
• Maintain the standard speed of service, coffee quality and overall consistency, in a fast‑paced environment
• Pooring basic latte art and have an understanding of alternative milks
• Learn and assist across all working aspects of the venue, as a part of the Trading Post team
• Be the face of positivity and motivation, bringing your best and most positive self at all times
• Consistently deliver great hospitality with huge personality within the hospitality standards framework
• Undertake regular training and always be striving for self‑improvement
• Work to support a busy team and take an active part in contributing to team‑driven results
