You’ll help people gain more independence by teaching life skills, supporting personal care, encouraging local community access, socialising, and participating in activities. One day you could be out with the people we support in local bars and pubs; the next you could be unwinding with them playing video games, watching films, or going to the cinema. This role is an opportunity to make a real difference and help individuals grow in confidence and independence toward their goals (e.g., cooking dinner for themselves or holidays).

Responsibilities
  • Support individuals to gain independence in daily living and life skills.
  • Assist with personal care as required and in accordance with care plans.
  • Encourage participation in community activities and socialisation.
  • Plan and support enjoyable activities, outings, and everyday experiences.
  • Collaborate with the team to deliver person-centered support and positive behavioural approaches.
  • Document observations and progress as part of reflective practice.
Qualifications and qualities
  • Preferably hold a full UK driving license.
