Join a well-established manufacturing firm in Gillingham, where precision and teamwork drive success. This Band Cutter role offers a stable working week with early finishes on Fridays, and a supportive environment where your mechanical expertise will be valued.

You'll be responsible for the daily running and organisation of machines in the department, including fault finding, tool changes, and liaising with the Factory Manager on production schedules. You'll also take part in daily Gemba walks and coordinate with the toolroom and maintenance teams to ensure optimal machine performance.

We're looking for someone with strong mechanical knowledge, ideally with experience in hydraulics and pneumatics. You'll need to be confident working independently and collaboratively, with a practical approach to problem-solving and a sense of ownership over your machines.

Responsibilities
  • Organising and daily running of the machines in the department
  • Fault-finding on various machines to aid in setting and running
  • Undertaking tool changes
  • Liaising with Factory Manager regarding production schedules and resources
  • Actively participating in daily Gemba walks
  • Liaising with the toolroom and maintenance departments for tooling and machine upkeep
