A leading healthcare provider in Birmingham is seeking a Band 7 Maxillofacial Prosthetist. This role entails providing clinical, scientific, and advisory services to patients, with specific responsibilities in reconstructive procedures. Candidates should hold relevant degrees and have experience in patient care as well as familiarity with quality management systems. The position requires participation in a 24-hour on-call service and the ability to collaborate with a diverse team of health professionals.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 7 Maxillofacial Prosthetist to join us here at University Hospitals Birmingham NHS FT as we are expanding as a team.
You will be joining an extremely dynamic and forward-thinking group of Prosthetists alongside our in-house Biomedical Engineer to be part of our team and world renowned surgical colleagues.
The department has its own established 3D Design suite that runs in parallel with our 3D printing hub.
You will be given full support to develop opportunities and skills as a patient-facing prosthetist. The scope of specialties and disciplines to work and flourish within is like no other and we are seeking an individual that is keen to develop as/within all the above.
To deliver a clinical, scientific and advisory service to patients undergoing reconstructive procedures or rehabilitation using implants, splints and prostheses.
To participate in a twenty-four-hour emergency on call service.
Deliver and be accountable and build upon our current breast service.
The Department provides a service to the following specialities at University Hospital Birmingham NHS Trust and regionally.
Act as advocate for patients within the areas, to ensure a patient-focused approach to the delivery of care.
To liaise with team members and schedule patients’ clinical appointments and surgical procedures.
To be responsible for organising own clinical sessions. Quality control of work produced and its delivery with the patient environment.
Coordinate and arrange treatment plans, timetabling of clinical/technical procedures, discharge from care, referring on/back of individual cases i.e.
Establish patient requirements and liaise across disciplines such as Maxillofacial, Plastics and Burns, Craniofacial, Ophthalmology, ENT, Dermatology and Neurosurgery, i.e.:
