Job description

The purpose of the role is to advise and support the Backlog Programme Manager, Project Managers, Senior Project Managers and others within the Backlog Programme team. To take responsibility for the coordination, management, and delivery of aspects of Capital projects to ensure objectives are achieved in terms of specific performance, time, cost and quality. Undertaking the role of Assistant Project Manager on Capital schemes.

Main duties of the job

1.1 To provide support to the scheme Project Managers, Programme Manager and othersas may be appropriate within the Backlog Programme team with the overall projectmanagement of the scheme, including scheme programme, cost and quality.1.2 To support the management of the overall scheme programme. This will includereviewing and developing programmes for various aspects of the work and monitoringprogress to ensure they are delivered.1.3 To liaise with the organisation's clinical and operational teams, the project team andPrincipal Supply Chain Members (PSCM)s to organise the development of the detailedscheme design, output specifications and room data sheets.

  • Experience of attending and preparing agendas for meetings and minute taking

  • Experience of project administration of a complex project within an acute hospital or similar in line with client time, cost and quality objectives
Skills
  • Ability to seek and share information and ideas in a discreet, respectful, confident and compelling manner
  • Proven ability to set up and undertake administrative functions required of an effective and professional PMO with the ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing at all levels of a complex and diverse organisation
