We are seeking an experienced and skilled Locum Physiotherapist to join the team at the Acute Hospital in Exeter. This full-time, 37.5 hours per week position is available immediately, with the contract running through to the end of March 2025. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working on medical and respiratory wards, preferably within the NHS. The role offers the opportunity to work with a diverse caseload in a fast-paced environment. Accommodation on-site may be available upon request for the duration of the contract.

Responsibilities
  • Assess and treat patients on the medical and respiratory wards, including those with a range of acute conditions.
  • Deliver high-quality physiotherapy interventions, including respiratory physiotherapy, mobility support, and rehabilitation.
  • Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to optimise patient outcomes and ensure continuity of care.
  • Manage a varied caseload, adapt treatment plans as needed, and provide discharge planning support.
  • Document patient progress accurately and contribute to team discussions on care planning.
Qualifications and Experience
  • HCPC Registration as a Physiotherapist.
  • Proven experience in medical and respiratory physiotherapy, preferably in an acute NHS setting.
  • Strong clinical reasoning and caseload management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Available to start immediately and commit to full-time hours until March 2025.
