Band 4 Senior Surgical Appliances Orthotic Assistant

We are seeking to appoint a dynamic individual to work within our busy service. You will be supported in this role by the Surgical Appliances Orthotics manager - working closely to develop and progress the Orthotics department.

To assist the Surgical Appliances Manager in the delivery of the Surgicalappliances service to patients across Barnet & Chase Farm sites.To provide all aspects of administrative support for the Surgicalappliance department across the Royal Free, Barnet & Chase Farmsites.To ensure a high quality, friendly and efficient frontline service to patientsand staff, contributing to regular needs analysis, service review andeffective management of patient complaints and queries.

Main duties of the job

This role will require the successful applicant to work at the Orthotics department between Barnet and Chase Farm hospitals with occasional cross site working at Royal Free hospital. The successful applicant will also provide Orthotic clinics to our patients - including Orthosis, Surgical Hosiery and Breast prostheses. This is a very diverse role which requires the ability to balance a variety of administrative tasks along with clinical responsibilities. You will have excellent communication skills, be adaptable to different environments and provide excellent support to our Orthotics team. Cross cover is essential and on occasion you will be required to travel to different sites.
