Job Title:

Band 3 Therapy Assistant

Location: Standing Way

Duration: Ongoing

Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Start Date: ASAP

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Band 6 Physiotherapist to join our team in Camberley. The successful candidate will be responsible for the assessment and treatment of complex trauma orthopaedic patients, including those with spinal cord injuries. This role involves complex discharge planning and the respiratory management of in-patients.

This position is available now and the pay rate for this role will be up to £27 per hour.

Main Responsibilities
  • Assist in the delivery of therapy programs under the supervision of qualified therapists.
  • Provide support to patients during therapy sessions, ensuring their comfort and safety.
  • Prepare and maintain therapy equipment and treatment areas.
  • Monitor and record patient progress, reporting any changes to the supervising therapist.
  • Assist with patient mobility and exercises as directed by the therapy team.
  • Support patients with activities of daily living as needed.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to patient care planning
Essential Requirements
  • HCPC registration
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Acute NHS inpatient experience, particularly in respiratory and surgical settings.
Desirable Skills and Attributes
  • Previous experience in a similar role within a healthcare setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Basic IT skills for patient record-keeping.
Working Conditions
  • Onsite accommodation available if required at £26 - £43 per night (£370 - £470 per month).
  • A 20-minute break must be deducted for every 6 hours worked.
  • Breaks are not paid.
