Overview

Night Baker – Paddock Wood, Kent

Salary: £31,200 rising to £33,800 after successful probation

Hours: Sunday to Wednesday 6:00 PM – 2:00 AM; Thursday 5:00 PM – 2:00 AM; Friday 4:00 PM – 2:00 AM (Includes one rotated day off during the week)

Responsibilities

• Preparing, mixing, and baking a wide variety of Bread etc to a high standard
• Working to production schedules and ensuring consistent product quality
• Maintaining cleanliness and food safety standards in the bakery
• Operating and maintaining bakery equipment
• Supporting the team with dough preparation, shaping, baking, and finishing

Requirements

• Proven experience as a professional baker, ideally in a commercial or artisan environment
• Good understanding of traditional and modern baking techniques
• Ability to work independently and as part of a small, dedicated team
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills

Physically fit – this is a hands-on role that involves standing, lifting, and working at a pace
