A leading fintech provider based in London is seeking an experienced AWS Data Engineer to support their transformation from SAP to AWS. In this hands-on role, you will work closely with senior management to define strategies for Data and MI reports, utilizing expertise in Python, ETL processes, and AWS technologies. The position involves training fellow engineers and minimizing third-party dependencies.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in Data Engineering.
• Extensive experience with MYSQL and AWS (Redshift and Glue).
• Hands-on experience writing Python scripts, e.g. for ETL.

One of the UK's leading lending providers is seeking an AWS Data Engineer to support their transformation roadmap to move the business from SAP Business Objects to AWS.

You will work closely with the CTO and the Data and Reporting Manager to define and implement the short-and long-term strategies for Data and MI reports.

This is a 100% hands-on position, with no "leadership" duties except to train/mentor fellow engineers.

The expectation is for this individual to bring the AWS Expertise in-house to alleviate the dependency on third-party support. In this role, you will be using Python, ETL, AWS Redshift, and Glue

Location/Hybrid: Average x1 per month to the Watford Office

Requirements:

• Minimum of 4years of experience in Data Engineering
• Extensive experience with MYSQL, AWS (Redshift and Glue)
• Experience with visualisation tools, preferably AWS Quicksite
• Hands-on experience writing Python scripts, e.g. ETL
• Experience creating ETL and ELT processes from multiple data sources and types
• Desirable knowledge of SAP Business Objects
