Job Title: Aviation Safety Advisor – Operations

Location: Teesside

Salary: £60,000–£65,000 per annum

Working: Hybrid

About the Organisation

We are supporting a leading aviation operations provider in recruiting a proactive Aviation Safety Advisor to join their team. The organisation delivers operational excellence across flight operations and safety management, focusing on mission-critical safety outcomes and continuous improvement.

The successful candidate will be part of a team ensuring safety processes and systems are fully integrated into operational delivery, contributing to a positive safety culture and operational compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the operational flight safety subject matter expert
  • Lead hazard identification and perform comprehensive risk assessments
  • Support safety investigations and management of change activities
  • Promote and embed safety culture across operational teams
  • Facilitate safety review boards, occurrence meetings and action groups
  • Deliver safety training and produce safety documentation
  • Conduct safety assurance visits ensuring standardisation across fleets
  • Serve as the emergency response focal point for operations
Experience
  • Operational military or civil flying background, or equivalent (e.g., ATC, FC, ABM)
  • Proven experience in safety management systems and aviation safety organisations
  • Strong understanding of aviation safety regulations, risk management, and compliance
  • Experience in delivering safety training and developing safety documentation
  • Effective communication and IT skills
  • Demonstrated ability to organise and prioritise multiple operational safety tasks
Qualifications
