Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a customer service star to join Portico as an AV Technician on a 6-month fixed-term contract. The successful candidate will be part of our team at a financial company based in Stratford!

Main Duties:

• Serve as the first point of contact for all AV-related issues in meeting rooms (MS Teams).
• Set up audio-visual equipment and laptops in the Conference Suite, Training Rooms, and Boardrooms within 15 minutes of meeting start time.
• Provide event and external AV assistance.
• Reconfigure room layouts as required within 15 minutes of the meeting start time.
• Perform regular checks of rooms throughout the day, noting any faults with equipment, furniture, or lighting, and liaising with relevant departments to address issues promptly.
• Ensure meeting rooms are tidy and ready for use, with all chairs and tables clean.
• Conduct regular floor walks to monitor room and equipment usage, ensuring effective utilization of facilities.
• Perform end-of-day floor walks, returning all AV equipment to secure storage.
• Maintain and assist with on-floor LED screens in meeting rooms, kitchens, atriums, and staff restaurants.
• Collaborate with service providers to meet the changing AV and hospitality needs of the business.
• Ensure meeting rooms have functioning lighting and ventilation and are in good condition.

As an AV Technician, you will be reliable, flexible, and a strong ambassador for Portico and our client. Your previous experience in a 5-star service environment will help you engage positively with clients and stakeholders, ensuring a seamless service experience. Proactive in anticipating client needs, you will follow up to exceed expectations. Your problem-solving skills, flexibility, and attention to detail will be vital in maintaining smooth operations and ensuring your surroundings are presentable and safe.

Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, alternating shifts between 7 am and 6 pm.
Pay: £27,000 per year

Qualifications

The successful candidate will have immaculate personal presentation, a genuine smile, and the ability to engage easily in conversation, building rapport effortlessly. Experience with audio-visual services is desirable, along with familiarity with room reservation operations.
