Automation Engineer (Pre-Sales to Post-Sales Integration)

Location: Coventry area (UK travel)
Salary: Depending on experience
Vehicle: Company car provided
Holidays: 25 days plus UK bank holidays
Tech stack (essential): Siemens and FANUC
Automation: Robo2Go machine tending
Platforms: Mix of UK and Japanese machine tools

The role

Own automation projects end to end. Scope solutions in presales, then integrate, commission and hand over post sales.

What you'll do

• Scope Robo2Go cells from drawings and I/O lists with sales and OEMs

• Turn requirements into plans, layouts and realistic timelines

• Integrate automation with CNCs on Siemens and FANUC (signals, macros, interlocks)

• Commission cells, run trials and acceptance, deliver operator training

• Produce clear documentation and keep projects on track

What you'll need

• Proven CNC automation integration experience

• Strong Siemens and FANUC knowledge (CNC plus basic PLC or ladder)

• Able to read electrical drawings and define I/O

• Good handle on machine safety, guarding and interlocks

• Full UK driving licence and right to work in the UK

Nice to have

• Direct Robo2Go experience or similar tending cells

• Exposure to Japanese and UK machine tool brands

• Robotics, vision or probing integration basics
