Overview

Join Independence Support Ltd (ISL) – Make a Real Difference in People’s Lives! At ISL, based in York, North Yorkshire, we operate a supported living project dedicated to empowering individuals with autism and Asperger’s. Our service supports 6 people in self‑contained apartments, enhanced by the latest assistive technology. We aim to support individuals to live as independently and confidently as possible.

Who we’re looking for

We’re looking for flexible, compassionate, and committed people who want to make a meaningful impact every day. We need full‑time (37.5 hours) and bank staff (0 hour) ready to work across day and night shifts, working around a 7‑day rota. Full induction is provided.

What you’ll do

You will provide outcome‑focused, person‑centered support that promotes independence and maximises opportunities for the people we support. Your role will include:

  • Supporting with medication management
  • Teaching and encouraging life skills
  • Assisting with daily living tasks
  • Facilitating community access and engagement
  • Providing emotional support
  • Help manage tenancies
  • Liaising with other healthcare professionals to ensure clients receive the best possible support
