Autism Support Specialist for a young boy 5 hrs p/w @ £13.74 hr in Blyth

We are looking for a committed individual to work alongside a family and a second worker to support a 10-year-old boy who lives in the Blyth area. The young boy is neurodivergent with ASD, Autism and attachment trauma. He is very energetic, and it is essential the successful applicant is active and able to keep him entertained during the support time. Due to his diagnosis, he can deregulate, and it is important that you are able to build a suitable relationship with both him and his parents to support him during these occasions. The young boy loves Minecraft, Lego, drawing and accessing physical activities such as trampolining and the park. The ideal applicant will:

  • Be experienced supporting neurodivergent individuals
  • Have a full valid enhanced disclosure and barring certificate to support children
  • Be local to or be willing to travel to the Blyth area
  • Be able to support during term time for 5 hours per week as outlined ut also provide additional support during school holidays.
  • Be available to provide urgent support for the last 2 weeks of august approximately 12 hours per week
