Audit & Accounts Director

Location: Cardiff

Position: Full Time / Permanent

Salary: Negotiable D.O.E

About the Role:

As an Audit and Accounts Director, your primary responsibility is to drive business growth by expanding the client base while ensuring the delivery of exceptional service. This role requires a strategic leader who can build strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, provide industry-leading advice, and foster a high-performance culture aligned with our clients vision, mission, and values.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Win, manage and grow your own portfolio of clients.
  • Provide industry-leading insights, solutions, and advice to build the firm's reputation and client base.
  • Promote the products, services, and image of the firm to generate new business opportunities and enhance its reputation.
  • Create and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with clients, Directors, and staff.
  • Contribute to strategic and business planning to increase revenue and profits.
  • Recruit, develop, and manage a high-performing team delivering excellent client service and meeting billing targets.
  • Create a high-performing culture where people embody the vision, mission, and values, and take action to improve if not.
  • Ensure client work complies with all legal, ethical standards, and statutory regulations.
  • Provide leadership and direction to motivate and inspire the team for higher performance.
  • Set performance measures, review performance, and implement improvements when off track.

Key Requirements:

  • Qualified ACA / ACCA with over 5 years of experience managing a client portfolio.
  • Strong experience in client-facing meetings.
  • Experience in company tax planning.
