Summary

The Athlete Executive plays a crucial role in the development of the Athlete Programme at AYBL. The key responsibilities of this position involve identifying and recruiting new athletes, skillfully managing existing relationships, and ensuring a seamless experience between AYBL and its athletes. The primary objective is to foster profitability in alignment with brand goals, making this role essential for supporting and driving brand growth.

This 12-month maternity cover role will also focus on managing some of AYBL’s most established and high-performing athletes within the brand. You will be responsible for maintaining seamless communication and continuity throughout the duration of the cover.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Identifying and signing new, relevant, and upcoming athletes to join AYBL’s Athlete Programme.
  • Skillfully managing existing athlete relationships, providing a seamless experience via email, video calls, and in-person.
  • Ensuring all agreed contractual terms with athletes are delivered to the highest standard.
  • Collaborating with internal teams to support campaigns, content creation, photoshoots, and events.
  • Supporting the commission structure in place for identifying, signing, and successfully managing athletes (details provided in a separate document).
Responsibilities and Duties
  • Communicating product launches, restocks, sales, and events to athletes and coordinating clothing package send-outs.
  • Maintaining regular communication with athletes via email, messages, calls, and video meetings to ensure a positive and successful partnership.
  • Ensuring the influencer database and relevant documents are accurate and up to date.
  • Providing regular feedback on athlete performance to your line manager.
  • Working with athletes, managers, and agencies to negotiate contracts and payment terms to maximise opportunities for AYBL.
  • Attending campaign shoots and events with athletes, including assisting with planning and preparation where required.
Person Specification
  • Minimum 1+ years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Passionate about the fitness/athleisure industry with a strong interest in social media, influencer trends and emerging talent.
  • Excellent communication skills, confident, self‑motivated and proactive in approach.
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail, able to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
