A leading urban design consultancy is seeking an Associate Urban Designer to create innovative design solutions for development projects. This role requires significant experience in urban design and expertise in AutoCAD and Adobe Suite. You will coordinate with technical teams and manage multiple projects while applying local design policies. Are you passionate about shaping places local communities through urban design? We’re looking for an Associate Urban Designer to join our expanding Masterplanning and Urban Design team. You will be a skilled urban designer, with AutoCAD and Adobe Suite technical knowledge, seeking to work on a variety of projects, from housing layouts to large-scale masterplans, and make a real impact on the future of development portfolios. Part of our Planning & Development division, the Masterplanning team has a total of 8 people based between our London HQ and Cambridge offices. Due to the nature of the work, the role will ideally be based in London, Cambridge or Birmingham. However, we are open to applications for those seeking to be based in our other hub offices. Travel will be required as part of the role.
You will have a professional qualification in Urban Design or Architecture (or equivalent experience) with significant experience of working with housebuilders or in a consultancy environment. It is key that you have a demonstrable knowledge of using AutoCAD and Adobe Suite at a high standard as well as knowledge of planning law and practice. You will have a proven ability to manage multiple urban design projects and possess excellent communication skills. You will also be able to problem solve and work collaboratively with those in your team and across the firm. In addition, travel will be expected, and a full driving licence is required for the role.
