Overview

A leading offshore law firm is seeking ambitious and technically strong lawyers to join its market-leading global Investment Funds practice. This is a rare opportunity to play a central role in building out the firm’s Channel Islands funds business, working closely with some of the most respected practitioners in the market. Based in Jersey, the successful candidates will advise on the full spectrum of investment funds and corporate matters, including the formation, structuring, and ongoing operation of private, hedge, and hybrid funds, corporate advisory work (M&A, joint ventures, reorganisations), cross-border transactions, and investor negotiations & governance matters. In addition to complex client work, you will take ownership of client relationships, contribute to business development initiatives, and participate in knowledge sharing, training, and industry events.

Responsibilities
  • Advise on the formation, structuring, and ongoing operation of private, hedge, and hybrid funds; provide corporate advisory work (M&A, joint ventures, reorganisations) where needed.
  • Assist with cross-border transactions, investor negotiations and governance matters; manage client relationships and contribute to business development.
  • Participate in knowledge sharing, training and industry events.
Qualifications
  • Commonwealth-qualified lawyers with 1–8 years’ PQE and excellent academics; ideally with hands-on investment funds experience, with more senior applicants preferred.
  • Specific Jersey funds exposure is advantageous but not essential.
  • Commercially minded, confident communicator, and collaborative team player with a proven ability to build client relationships.
