Ideal candidates will have experience in operations planning, GCSE-level education, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. To provide accurate and efficient manufacturing plans, to achieve agreed output requirements, accounting for current status, opportunities and limitations of contributing resources. To regularly update to reflect ever changing requirements and conditions
Understand the general principles of capacity planning and make basic interpretations of the capacity graphs. Understand and action requirements and findings from capacity reviews.
Utilise capacity data to plan within a finite timescale, prioritise jobs and create work schedules to achieve the master schedule requirements and which optimise manufacturing efficiency and costs. Monitor key manufacturing processes for capacity and demand, identify constraints and provide analysis.
Lead capacity reviews; edit, create and amend all work centre data and understand the impacts of any changes. Highlight issues and understand basic principles behind available capacity calculations.
Monitor progress to agreed plans through both meeting forums and direct liaison, and determine any suitable corrections to achieve the Master Production Schedule. Control and maintain internal 'Works Orders' (including re-scheduling where required) to achieve the requirements of the MPS, with objective of achievable dates and performance to planned leadtime
Evaluate through audit and formal review, condition of issued work in progress - slow moving, accuracy of feedback reporting (operations and quantities), resolution of transactional queries.
To derive and provide standard and bespoke status reports in suitable formats based on AX data, as required.
Applicants should be able to demonstrate a good level of general education, (at least Grade “C” or above at GCSE level or equivalent) and be PC literate with a full working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
