Description

As an Associate Director in our Sustainability Strategy team, you will lead projects that embed sustainability into business models, operations, and culture—turning sustainability into a driver of innovation and competitive advantage. This senior role requires deep expertise in sustainability strategy and the ability to deliver commercially focused solutions that transform businesses for long-term success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Delivery: Lead sustainability strategy engagements for large businesses, managing projects valued at £250k+.
  • Design and implement strategies that integrate sustainability into core business functions, demonstrating measurable value and growth potential.
  • Drive innovation and transformation initiatives, positioning sustainability as a source of new products, services, and market opportunities.
  • Help clients to turn technical sustainability challenges into business and culture change opportunities.
  • Manage and mentor project teams, ensuring excellence in delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Build strong relationships with senior client stakeholders and act as a trusted advisor on sustainability‑led business transformation.
  • Growth: Expand existing accounts through strategic insight and strong client relationships.
  • Sales: Achieve annual sales targets of £400k+ through new business development and account growth.
  • Contribute to business development, including proposal writing and pitching for new opportunities.
  • Stay ahead of trends in sustainability, ESG, and business innovation to inform client work and thought leadership.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
  • 8+ years of experience in management consulting or a related field, with a focus on sustainability strategy and business transformation.
  • Proven track record of leading large‑scale projects for major organizations.
  • Strong commercial acumen and ability to link sustainability initiatives to business growth and innovation.

  • Ability to manage complex projects and deliver results under pressure.
