Job description

Due to continued growth, Vibe Recruit's client is seeking a senior electrical engineering professional to lead the Electrical Design function, oversee M&E delivery across multiple projects and mentor the next generation of engineers. This position offers genuine influence, autonomy and a defined route to Partnership for someone ready to take ownership, drive team performance and help shape the future direction of a dynamic consultancy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Electrical Engineering discipline, championing technical excellence, innovation and collaborative working.
  • Act as Lead M&E Engineer on multiple projects from concept through to completion.
  • Coordinate mechanical and electrical teams to deliver integrated building services solutions.
  • Support bids, proposals, and presentations, with performance-based bonuses for successful project wins and delivery.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers, supporting career development and fostering a positive team culture.
  • Work closely with senior leadership on resourcing, operational decision‑making and strategic planning.
Requirements
  • Degree in Electrical or Building Services Engineering (or equivalent).
  • Chartered Engineer (CEng) status or progressing towards chartership.
  • 10 years of building services experience, ideally with significant exposure to healthcare and education sectors.
  • Proven track record in leading M&E project delivery and managing client relationships.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and commercial awareness.
  • Solid technical understanding of relevant standards, regulations, and NHS HTM / HBN guidance.
