The opportunity to join Markel is an exciting one as our business grows. We have moved into brand-new innovative offices in Leeds city centre, right next to the train station, and we currently have a new opportunity for an Assistant Underwriter to join our Renewal Connect team; (3 days in the office / 2 days from home). This opportunity is based within the renewals department as part of a smaller renewals team, dealing with a wide variety of Professional and Management Risks and Charity policies. You will work alongside other departments to build and maintain relationships and deliver exceptional service to our brokers.
The role of the Assistant Underwriter is to work as part of the Renewal Connect team, providing an excellent underwriting service for brokers in the UK. You will develop and maintain good relationships internally and externally, monitor and analyse broker activity to identify success and areas for improvement, and provide proactive feedback to the team manager. You will have responsibility for renewals and mid-term queries with a desire to be visible to our brokers.
