Job summary

A leading construction staffing agency is seeking an Assistant Site Manager for a residential project in Ringmer. You will supervise finishing trades, ensure quality work, and maintain safety standards on site. Ideal candidates will have relevant certifications and experience in construction. This position offers a 12-month contract with the potential for extension.

Qualifications

• Must have SMSTS, first aid, and gold or black card.
• Experience on construction sites, preferably commercial or residential.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage finishing trades.

Job description

Job title: Assistant Site Manager

Location: Ringmer

Duration: 12 months +

Assistant site manager working on a new large scale residential development, working alongside the site manager.

The role:

• Supervise and manage all finishing trades (e.g., plastering, painting, tiling, joinery, flooring)
• Ensure all work is completed to the required quality and specification
• Conduct regular inspections to identify and rectify any defects
• Coordinate with the site manager and other foremen to ensure a smooth workflow
• Maintain a safe working environment and enforce all health and safety regulations
• Keep detailed records of progress, materials, and labour

The project is a residential build and has a long duration.

About you:

• SMSTS, first aid, gold or black card
• Full PPE (personal protective equipment)
• Previous experience working on a construction site (Ideally commercial or residential)
