What will you be doing

As Assistant Sales Manager, you’ll play a key role in supporting the General Sales Manager assisting with leading a high‑performing team. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Setting and supporting the achievement of short‑ and long‑term sales targets.
  • Ensuring the team follows sales processes and staffing levels meet business needs.
  • Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities with both new and existing clients.
  • Monitoring market trends and advising on competitive activity and product changes.
  • Maintaining strong relationships with the manufacturer and coordinating their requirements.
  • Upholding professional brand presentation and delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Supporting key accounts to drive satisfaction and long‑term retention.
  • Providing training, coaching, and mentoring to the sales team.
  • Reviewing monthly P&L, stock levels, and stock ageing to identify areas for improvement.
  • Ensuring compliance with company policies and legislative requirements.
  • Participating in regular team briefings and sales training sessions.
  • Assisting with team direction, performance reviews, and ongoing feedback.
