Job summary

A modern construction firm is seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to work on social housing projects in Welwyn Garden City. You will assess repairs for occupied and empty homes and manage subcontractors. Ideal candidates have experience in repairs and maintenance contracts, with a strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently. This is a full-time, permanent position with a competitive salary of £30 - 45k.

Qualifications

  • Experience in commercial activity on repairs & maintenance contracts.
  • Social housing experience is ideal.
  • Experience working on reactive maintenance/voids contracts preferred.
  • Experience with managing subcontractors / subcontractor payments.
  • Thorough and meticulous with an eye for detail.
  • Able to work to tight deadlines and maintain a flexible attitude to workload.
  • Ability to work on own initiative.
  • Experience working with NHF Schedule of Rates.
