Role Overview

In a Nutshell…

We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our team within Vistry Bristol, at our Clifton office. As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will report to the Quantity Surveyor / Senior Quantity Surveyor and assist in the commercial delivery of residential development schemes. Your role involves supporting the Surveying department with cost management from procurement to the completion of sub-contract final accounts. The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role within a main contractor or developer in the region.

What we expect from you...

  • Understanding of building regulations and legal obligations
  • Knowledge of construction methods and materials
  • Strong mathematical and IT skills, especially Excel
  • Understanding of measurement rules and budget management
  • Negotiation, networking, and communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure, attention to detail, and teamwork
  • Willingness to work extra hours when needed
Desirable qualifications...
  • HND or Degree in Construction
  • Membership or working towards membership of relevant professional bodies (e.g., CIOB, CIPS)
