An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join a well‑established and reputable groundworks contractor in the East Midlands.

The Role

Our client is recruiting for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor with 1-3+ years of experience in the groundworks sector. This is a fantastic chance to further develop your QS career within a supportive and fast‑paced environment. You’ll be involved in a variety of residential groundwork projects; work is primarily office‑based, with visits to project sites as needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Managing and reporting project costs and progress
  • Subcontractor procurement and management
  • Valuations and variations
  • Preparing and submitting accurate forecasts and cost reports
  • Supporting commercial strategy and delivery on a variety of groundwork packages
Requirements
  • Degree or HNC in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Previous experience, ideally in residential groundworks or civil engineering
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • A proactive attitude and desire to progress within the business
