Qualifications

  • 2–5 years of relevant experience in construction or a related industry.
  • Good understanding of standard forms of contract (e.g., JCT, NEC).
  • CSCS card (desirable).

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the preparation of cost plans, estimates, and tender documentation.
  • Evaluate and negotiate subcontractor packages and procurement.
  • Monitor project costs and produce monthly cost reports.
  • Prepare and submit interim applications for payment and final accounts.
  • Identify and value variations to contracts.
  • Attend site meetings and liaise with clients, subcontractors, and project teams.
  • Ensure compliance with contract terms and risk management processes.
  • Maintain and update procurement schedules and cash flow forecasts.
  • Assist with dispute resolution and claims.
  • Support and mentor junior/trainee QS staff if applicable.

As an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor, you will support the commercial team in managing the financial aspects of construction projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. This role suits candidates with a few years of experience who are looking to take the next step in their career, with opportunities to work on diverse and challenging projects.
