We are recruiting two Band 4 Assistant Psychologists (one full-time, one part-time). These are challenging posts for dedicated and enthusiastic individuals who will support patients moving from secure services to reintegration into the community.

These posts are subject to a six-month probationary period for candidates external to the Kent and Medway NHS and Social Care Partnership Trust. To deliver an effective service, you must be able to travel between bases in a timely manner.

Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical, research, and administrative support to the psychology staff in the FOLS team under supervision, assisting in service provision and evaluation.
  • Coordinate and conduct initial assessments and formulations under supervision; contribute to risk formulations and treatment planning.
  • Administer and score assessment instruments and prepare reports.
  • Co-facilitate structured groups (e.g., anger management, social skills, problem solving).
  • Participate in audits, quality improvement (QI) activities, and research; support tailored services for autistic clients.
  • Provide administrative support to the psychologist and psychotherapist, including literature searches and information collation for case conferences.
  • Work predominantly in patient-facing roles within the FOLS team and collaborate with other agencies, including community services and the Criminal Justice System.
