A governmental department in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced individual to manage a minister's diary and scheduling engagements. This full-time position involves collaborating with the Minister and their private secretaries to ensure smooth operations in a fast-paced environment. The principal responsibility of this role is to manage a minister's diary. You will work closely with the Minister and their private secretaries to ensure the minister fulfils parliamentary and policy portfolio obligations. The role is within the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra), supporting the government's Growth Mission, regulation and regulatory reform, and Defra's ministerial and private office functions. This is a full-time, ministerial private office role based in London (with some roles requiring London or York locations as applicable). The position offers an opportunity to progress within the department and build strong working relationships across the team.
Location: London (ministerial private office roles). The agreed contractual workplace will be the substantive and permanent place of work for the successful candidate, in line with Defra location policy. The Civil Service requires at least 60% of working time in an organisation workplace with the remainder flexible from home, and travel costs follow departmental policies.
