Assistant Accountant

A growing and dynamic finance team is seeking a motivated and detail-orientedAssistant Accountantto support the Management Accountant in delivering accurate and timely financial reporting. This role is ideal for someone who is AAT qualified or part-qualified ACCA/CIMA and looking to progress their career with full study support.

Role Overview:

The successful candidate will be involved in a wide range of financial activities, supporting the group’s Investment Partnerships and contributing to key reporting and analysis tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparation of monthly management accounts for Investment Partnerships
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Assistance with JV board report preparation
• Compilation of funding summaries and member loan funding requests
• Variance analysis and liaison with key stakeholders
• Preparation of year-end audit packs and coordination with external auditors
• Review of year-end statutory accounts
• Support for project cost-to-complete exercises alongside the Investment Partnerships Finance Manager
• Contribution to quarterly risk reporting
• Cover for bank reconciliations and weekly cash reporting
• Ad hoc support across the finance team as required

Candidate Profile:

• AAT qualified or part-qualified ACCA/CIMA (or equivalent)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Proficient in Excel and financial systems
• A proactive and collaborative approach
