Assistant Management Accountant

Location: Aylesbury

Salary: £40,000

A leading manufacturing business based in Aylesbury is seeking an Assistant Management Accountant to join their growing finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and ambitious individual looking to develop their career within a supportive environment.

The Role

You will be responsible for assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts and providing key financial support across the business. This varied role will give you exposure to different areas of finance, including:

  • Preparing management accounts for multiple entities, including balance sheet reconciliations, journal preparation, and financial analysis.
  • Assisting with stocktakes and audits, including year-end schedules.
  • Handling purchase ledger duties such as processing invoices, payments, and supplier queries.
  • Supporting with internal and external commission calculations.
  • Maintaining the company price book and managing customer discount uploads.
  • Providing sales ledger support.
  • Assisting with ad-hoc financial projects and duties as required.
About You

The successful candidate will ideally be studying towards ACA, ACCA, or CIMA, or be qualified by experience. You will also bring:

  • Strong numerical and analytical skills.
  • Good working knowledge of Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to prioritise workload effectively.
  • A proactive, adaptable, and team-oriented approach.
