Assistant General Manager - Alba Restaurant

Nestled opposite Harrods in Knightsbridge, ALBA is a celebration of contemporary Italian elegance. Inspired by the colours, flavours and effortless charm of the Amalfi Coast, our restaurant blends refined dining with genuine warmth. From our open kitchen showcasing the finest seafood to an expertly curated wine selection and cocktail list, at ALBA we are dedicated to redefining modern Italian hospitality with beauty, energy and integrity.

We are now looking for a General Manager who will champion this vision, inspire our 50-strong team and drive the continued success of our acclaimed 2 AA Rosette restaurant.

As General Manager, you will be responsible for:

• Leading all day-to-day operations with strategic oversight, ensuring seamless service and unforgettable guest experiences
• Championing ALBA's hospitality ethos, elevating service standards and fostering a culture of excellence
• Driving commercial performance through effective labour control, cost management and proactive sales growth initiatives
• Coaching, motivating and developing a high-performing leadership team across the restaurant and bar
• Analysing operational performance, implementing improvements and ensuring compliance with all H&S and licensing requirements
• Building strong guest relationships, resolving issues with confidence and creating a loyal community of ALBA advocates
• Collaborating closely with the senior leadership team to deliver financial targets, revenue forecasts and long-term business plans.

What we're looking for in a General Manager:

• Proven experience as a General Manager in a high-volume, premium restaurant - ideally within Italian or Mediterranean fine dining
• A strong understanding of guest-focused, premium hospitality in an elevated dining environment
• A track record of managing large teams and delivering exceptional service while achieving commercial success
• Expertise in operational controls, labour planning and sales-driving initiatives
• A natural leader with emotional intelligence, strong communication skills and an inspiring presence on the floor
• A passion for Italian cuisine and wine
• Professional, polished and aligned with ALBA's modern, vibrant identity
