Qualifications

  • Experience in the construction/developer/real estate sector desirable.

Overview

We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Finance Analyst to join our team within London Divisional Finance hub, at our Brentwood office. As our Assistant Finance Analyst, you will play a key role in the Finance team by supporting the preparation of the monthly management accounts, associated journals and reporting. Responsibilities


  • Assisting Finance Analyst with month-end process for Regional/Joint Venture/Joint Collaboration ledgers, including posting of Banking/Sales Invoices/Journals and maintenance of balance sheet reconciliations

  • Ownership of the division's banking and raising of sales invoices, including credit control duties to ensure timely recovery of cash

  • Support other senior members of the finance team with the Division's month end as required

  • Assist the Regional Finance Function with the preparation of the monthly management packs/ Board Pack/weekly cashflow forecast and other ad-hoc tasks as required

  • Assist the Regional operational teams with ad-hoc finance queries

  • Assist in the Half-Year and Full-Year audit, including preparation of audit deliverables and communication with auditors

  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements

  • Ad-hoc project work to improve the Division's current systems and processes

  • Other ad hoc duties as required

Qualifications


  • Proven ability to work within a fast-paced month end environment delivering insightful management accounts and supporting analysis

  • Knowledge of relevant technical accounting concepts and ability to critically apply these

  • Advanced user of MS Excel. Comfortable with manipulating high volumes of data with an eye on generating efficiencies within our financial processes

  • Strong organisational skills, multi-tasking ability, attention to detail and conscientious

  • Self-confidence, resilience and ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships with colleagues across a number of departments

  • Proactive, self-starter who is comfortable problem solving as an individual or as part of a team

  • Comfortable in working in a large, well-structured organisation, either from Practise or Industry

  • Studying towards an Accounting Professional Qualification (ACA/CIMA/ACCA)

  • Construction/Developer/Real Estate experience desirable, but not essential

  • Experience with COINs software and Anaplan forecasting modules desirable, but not essential
