Job description
About The Role

At EKFB (Eiffage, Kier, Ferrovial and BAM) we’re shaping Infrastructure for a better tomorrow. All four of our partners bring specialist expertise in the design, construction, operation, financing, and maintenance of railway networks, including the construction of one of Europe’s latest high speed rail projects.

We’re recruiting for an Assistant Engineering Manager to join our team, based in Aylesbury.

This is a site-based role, assisting the Engineering Manager and working closely with the Construction team for day-to-day matters. This position will identify and mitigate key engineering risks and issues. It will review low risk Work Package Plans (RAMS) and ITPs on behalf of the Engineering Management Team, calling on the Quality and Environmental teams and the Designer’s Construction Support teams where input is needed.

This role will assist with overseeing the management and execution of temporary works and assist the PW/TW Integration Manager with the co-ordination, integration and execution of the permanent works and temporary works designs.

The Assistant Engineering Manager will provide technical support and guidance to the construction delivery teams, including specification matters, non-conformance reports, short notice design changes (technical queries and field change requests), materials approvals, shop drawing reviews, temporary works design reviews and testing (e.g. lab, materials management).

The Assistant Engineering Manager will liaise with the Designer's Construction Support team to manage the resolution of TQs and FCRs.

This position will also oversee the timely and accurate redlining of approved changes to the design by the construction and delivery team and support (as necessary) in relation to the above for technical assurance purposes (audit, surveillance, HS2 Technical Assurance Reviews).
